Yale Peabody Museum

With a focus on participatory learning, groundbreaking research, and accessible exhibitions, the Yale Peabody Museum underwent a four year renovation to their 21st century galleries. Reimagined exhibits, and refurbished dinosaurs, including a towering Brontosaurus, the revitalized galleries present the ever-changing story of life on Earth to new generations by expanding teaching and research opportunities on campus. The renovation, expands the museum’s galleries by more than 50% and provides additional exhibition space for the Peabody’s collection of 14 million objects. The collection consists of fossils, meteorites, and anthropological artifacts, as well as new research spaces, classrooms equipped with the latest audio-visual technology, and a new education center for K-12 students from the New Haven area. kubik maltbie’s various roles in the project consisted of installation and fabrication of custom archival showcase & platforms with conservation materials, installation of display furnishings, graphic production & installation and electrical and security device integration. AV hardware integration, Exhibit lighting, as well as all fabrication and installation of exhibits.
