Exhibiting Science

The 144,000 square foot state-of-the-art Science Center along the Connecticut River in Hartford is a symbol of innovation, learning, and vitality, created to inspire the next generation of researchers, inventors, teachers, and informed citizens. With more than 165 hands-on exhibits, a state-of-the-art 3D digital theater, and four educational labs from physics to forensics, geology to astronomy; visitors have the sciences at their fingertips.

kubik maltbie produced 20,000 square feet of exhibits and interactives for four separate galleries: Sports Lab, Smart Energy, Planet Earth, and A River of Life.

From Development to Installation

In addition to providing executional oversite of the projects, kubik maltbie delivered a wide scope of work for the galleries and exhibits including: design development, shop drawings, interactive prototypes and production, fabrication of exhibitry, custom fiberoptic illuminated casework, specialty lighting, audio visual hardware systems, media coordination, shipping, and installation on site.
