Role Description:

Kubik Maltbie, is seeking an individual to work as part of the Electronic Interactive team. Primary responsibility of the Electronic/AV Systems Integrator is to design/build, integrate and install custom electronic components and controllers into electro-mechanical exhibits. You will also be required to assist with AV installation and integration, but this will not be your primary job responsibility.

Responsibilities also include the direct oversight of three to seven projects concurrently and will provide technical consulting, project management, and maintenance support strategies for clients and their facilities.

Job Specifications:

  • Design and build equipment that utilizes Arduino open-source platform that control interactive components through the use a various motor types such as Servos and Steppers
  • Manages and oversees all System Integration functions including design, project management, programming and installation of exhibit Electronic and AV Systems integration
  • Understand the use of PLC equipment and Basic Logic
  • Knowledge of motors, stepper motors and controllers
  • Produce electronic schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Fabricate and integrate industrial motion systems
  • Document electronics and service manuals
  • Prepare labor and materials estimates based on the finished proposal
  • Synchronize video, audio and lighting effects in various applications is a plus
  • Write control programs for microprocessor controllers, show controllers and associated equipment is a plus
  • Design, fabricate and integrate Audio/Video systems as well as integrate systems designed by others is a plus
  • Work as part of team that include both internal and external parties to ensure contract is completed successfully with profits maximized
  • Reviews all quoted projects and tracks status of all open projects to ensure efficient and successful completion on schedule


Relevant Education

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with electronic drafting, programming and building electronic components or controllers.

Relevant Experience

  • Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of and experience with a wide variety of audio/visual standards and technologies.
  • The applicant must be able to plan, design, develop, install, and test all electronic components
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity software (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Proficiency in cad or a similar schematics drafting program is a plus.

  • Working knowledge of audio, video and display systems
  • Some on site travel may be required to support project installations – duration dependent on project size and timing
